Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support a Year 10 pupil in a SEMH Secondary School in Wigan. This is afantastic opportunity to contribute to a students academic and personal growth while enjoying a flexible work schedule.Position: 1:1 Tutor for SEMH Secondary School in WiganLocation: WiganDays: Monday, Wednesday, FridayHours: 3 days a week, in-school supportPay: £25 - £35 per hour (depending on experience)Level: Up to GCSEKey Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised academic support to a Year 10 pupil with SEMH needs
  • Deliver tailored lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to track and report on student progress
  • Implement strategies to address the unique learning needs of the student
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status or relevant tutoring experience / cover supervisor work
  • Ability to teach up to GCSE level
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a 1:1 setting
