Position - Site Climber & Rigger• To work as part of a two man gang or multiple team at mobile telecom sites across the whole of the UK.• Responsible for installation and erection of passive steelwork on towers and rooftops, aligning steel and antennas, tower and rooftop grounding and cross bonding of new steel work.• Decommissioning of passive steel work and equipment cabins, recovering and returning to yard for packaging and onward transport to the clients premises. Making good the site in accordance with the clients drawings and to best practice.• Minor excavation works, ducting, minor concrete works for equipment cab bases etc.. • Resin anchoring and testing, core drilling, Compound fencing installations and general minor construction works.Criteria/qualifications:• experience as a climber /rigger• Experience in and comfortable with working at heights 50 meters and above• Able to identify and select cables, ropes, blocks and tackle by weight and size of load to be moved as per project requirements.• Experience with feeder testing and earth testing.• Experience and knowledge of roping and general slinging• Working knowledge in fall protection practice and procedures including current tower life saving techniques.• Tower Climbing and Rescue certification as a minimum, with current experience in working with rope access. Rope access qualification an advantage.• General construction experience is an asset.• Ability to work away Monday to Friday.Specific Duties:• Building sites on rooftops and greenfield lattice towers and upgrades to existing sites.• Tower climbing and rope access.• Remove, repair and install cable tray, conduit, antenna mounts, equipment cabinets, gantry poles and ancillary equipment.• Ensure proper inspection and use of personal protective equipment. • Work safely on rooftops and towers incorporating 100% tie off - fall protection practices. • Ensure that all company equipment is well maintained, confirmed testing is in date before use and in a safe operating condition. • Ensure all work is completed to high standard acceptable to both the employer and client, in accordance with industry standard and best practice. Package• Numeration above the industry standard will be offered, this is dependant on experience as a day rate and a Per-diem food allowance when working away from the base of operations.• Vehicle provided for travel from base of operations to site. • Immediate start available.
