Join Our Team as a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant!Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity We are partnering with a highly successful Primary School located on the border of Wigan, and they are in search of a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team full-timefrom July 2024.About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support across Key Stage 1, working with students facing Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a PMLD environment or extensive work with learners facing PMLD, Autism (ASD), and challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Confidence in handling challenging behaviour.
  • Passion for ensuring every pupils success and reaching their full potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills grounded in effective communication.
  • Ability to work confidently as part of a team and independently.
  • Awareness of personal strengths and areas for development, with a willingness to receive and act upon feedback.
Essential Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  • CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, explaining any breaks.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
