Job Description

Quality Manager required. My Client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufcaturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to employ a Quality Manager to bolster their quality assurance team.The ideal candidate will have have a strong Quality Manager, will be experineced in the Chemical sector, Will be highly familiar with ISO:9001 and will be based within a commutable distance of Wigan.Quality Manager Position Overview

  • Work to assigned procedures as defined in the Management Systems.
  • The effective maintenance and monitoring of the Quality Management System.
  • The resolution of appropriate non-conformities within the system.
  • Ensure that timely and effective action is taken by the appropriate personnel to obtain and maintain compliance with the quality system.
  • Regular management reviews of the Quality Management System.
  • Generate combined Internal audit Schedule in accordance with MS
  • Organising, preparing data, etc. for regular non-conformance reviews - customer complaints & process non- conformance and monitoring of QMS objectives.
  • Set annual quality objectives for quality and monitor progress to achieve
  • Develop new quality systems and update existing system as required.
Quality Manager Position Requirements
  • At least 5 years experience in Quality Assurance
  • Excellent understanding of the ISO:9001 QMS
  • Lead auditor 9001 qualified,
  • BTEC/HNC/Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Chemical, Chemistry etc.)
  • Experienced in completing root cause analysis as well as contributing to investigations
  • Familiarity with ISO:14001 / ISO:45001 would be advantageous
  • Background in the Chemical industry / understanding of Chemical Processes
  • Based within a commutable distance of Wigan
Quality Manager Position Remuneration
  • Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
  • 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday
  • Pension
