QA Analyst

About the role:The QA Analyst will carry out testing on all Tote Products across our B2C (tote.co.uk and native apps), as well as our B2B, and B2B2C partners. Working as a vital part of an agile squad following the SAFe methodology. The QA Analyst will work closely withinternal and external teams, on a multitude of projects prioritised based on the business needs in one of our product squads.In this role you will be a crucial member of the QA team that are on a journey with Automation testing. Over the past 12 months the team have built out automation tests and we are steadily transitioning into a team of automation testers. We will continuewith manual testing, but we are strategically moving to a higher density of automation testing.Who we are:We are proud stewards of the Tote, Great Britains pool betting operator since 1928. The role will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.What youll need:

• ISEB Foundation in Software Testing is desirable but not essential
• Ability to understand business and functional requirements and to perform requirements analysis
• Analytical and reporting skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with a wide selection of stakeholders
• Ability to work in a flexible and agile environment
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Ability to prioritise and adapt rapidly to changing business conditions
• Experience with Specflow or Cypress automation tools are desirable but not essential as the tote will provide training opportunities to support your development needs

What youll be doing:

• Defining & executing test plans and scenarios in line with development and roadmap backlogs to provide the quality gate and a smooth passage to live
• Ensure defects are well written including detailed steps, expected and actual results and provide videos and screenshots where possible
• Creation and execution of test cases ensuring agreed coverage is met
• Provide execution reports and/or providing verbal sign off for readiness to release
• Build and maintain strong and clear communications lines, both face to face and in writing
• Work closely within a squad with engineering and product to establish QA testing needs
• Supporting both internal and external UAT cycles
• Attend all Agile team ceremonies as the QA representative for your squad
• Ensure all testing is documented in Jira
• Reviewing development teams automated Integration test coverage
• Help to build out test automation coverage with support of Lead QA
