Job Description

Purchasing Manager (Manufacturing) £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Benefits Wigan Are you a Purchasing Manager from a manufacturing background looking for a varied, dynamic role where you will be involved in the purchase of all company engineering materials and parts On offer is a long term, permanent role with a highly successful Holiday/Mobile-Home manufacturing business that have been running for over 80 years and are still growing. This company manufacture Holiday-Homes and are looking for an experienced Purchaser from a similar manufacturing background to lead a small team responsible for stock control and purchasing. This role would suit a Buyer/Purchaser from a manufacturing background looking for a really varied role. THE ROLE

  • Manage the purchasing team including inventory and stock control.
  • Identify prospective purchasing requirements within the business, source new suppliers, negotiate pricing with new and existing suppliers, negotiate payment and delivery terms.
  • Build and maintain records relating to purchasing activity and contracted purchases.
  • Conduct analysis of existing activity and identify improvement opportunities, and to implement improvement projects where appropriate.
