Project Manager Band 6 (subject to job matching)How we are using technology to manage and support our workforce makes now a very exciting time to join the Wrightington Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) family. For several years Allocate’s e-Rostering and e-job planning systems has been helping us to optimise our workforce, and therefore be efficient and focussed on patient care. In August 2020 WWL signed off the expansion of the Allocate system across other staff groups to widen this benefit further, which will allow us to integrate with existing systems in place. The roll out of Allocate systems is part of a bigger piece of workforce data integration which also involves the roll out of ESR manager self-service, the creation of a new workforce dashboard and the implementation of the Empactis absence management system. This combination of work will provide WWL with much improved data that is live and therefore actionable, and at the heart of the new NHS People Plan – to focus on releasing time to care and redesigning the workforce where needed to meet our future demands. An exciting opportunity has arisen for 24 month fixed term Project Manager. This is an exciting chance to be part of a forward-thinking, dynamic team which plays a pivotal role in implementing Allocate’s Healthroster products across all WWL staff groups. The Trust already has in place the Healthroster system for Nursing staff and has recognised the benefits this would bring by implementing this to Doctors and other clinical and non-clinical staff groups.WWL are looking to recruit a competent, experienced and qualified Project Manager. The Project Manager will support the Programme Manager with allocated elements of responsibility for the respective project and work packages. They will lead and manage elements of allocated projects accountable to the Programme Manager, ensuring that projects produce the required conclusions to the required standard of quality. In addition to the qualities in the person specification, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively both within a team and independently. Experience in supporting technical projects would be beneficial but not essential. If this sounds like a journey you want to be part of, contributing to the implementation of an organisation wide workforce platform, we want to hear from you.For further details / informal visits contact:NameJames BakerJob titleDeputy Director of HREmail addressjames.baker@wwl.nhs.ukTelephone number
