Operations ManagerWigan£45K - £50K + additional benefitsFantastic opportunity for a Transport operator with a strong management background gained in a fast-paced environment, to join a leading 3PL at their site.Key Responsibilities: Managing this busy facility on a day-to-day basis; co-ordinating the effective use of resource across the transport functions.Continuously improving operational and financial efficiencies.Developing and maintaining productive relationships with key customers.Leading the delivery of effective reporting, including KPIs.Promoting a positive H&S culture.Key Skills/Experience:Exceptional people management skills - a natural leader who can manage, motivate, and inspire the team whilst creating a positive working environment that focuses on delivering excellent service levels.Experience of working in a fast-paced transport environment, ideally within the FMCG sector or perhaps a pallet network / parcel operation.Ability to identify opportunities for improved operational performance and the strategic vision to review operational capabilities for seasonal trends and future growth.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - ability to communicate effectively across all levels.High levels of IT proficiency.This excellent opportunity would suit a commercially strong Operations Manager who has the gravitas to gain respect from a multi-disciplined workforce and the experience to lead them through ongoing growth.
