Job Description

My client, a modern and vibrant manufacturing business in Wigan, is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with Electrical Bias. You will be working alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers over a 3 weekly rotating shift pattern, with paid overtime,to support our colleagues with both planned and reactive maintenance and repair and upkeep of the facility.The shift pattern is Monday - Friday and based on the below:-Week 1 06:00 - 14:00Week 2 14:00 - 22:00Week 3 22:00 - 06:00Job requirements:The person they are looking for will be fully qualified in the electrical bias and ideally comes to us with a HNC or above.

  • Previous experience of working in food manufacturing (preferred)
  • Testing and inspection qualifications (2391 or 2394-5) (essential)
  • 18th Edition wiring regs (essential)
  • Strong PLC skills / control systems (knowledge of Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi) (preferred)
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering i.e. pumps, pneumatics, and strong hand skills (essential)
  • Completed advanced apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering (minimum NVQ level 3) Maintenance related ideally (essential)
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (preferred)
  • Confined space trained (preferred)
  • IPAF trained (preferred)
  • Welding qualifications (preferred)
