Management Accountant / Project Accountant (Part qualified/QBE)Wigan (On-site)Up to £40,000 Medlock Partners are partnering with a growing global company based in Wigan, who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant / Project Accountant (Part qualified/QBE) into the team.Reporting to the Head of Finance, the ideal candidate will be a qualified by experience or Part Qualified Management Accountant / Project Accountant looking to join a growing company to further develop professionally in a great working environment.To be successful in this role you will need to have an organised approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise work effectively to ensure deadlines and assigned goals are met. Great attention to detail and high accuracy is also a must.Responsibilities:* Assist the Head of Finance in various facets of financial operations.* Assisting the team with CAPEX reporting for actuals, budget and forecast* WIP and Invoicing for the Capex* Take charge of Project accounting for UK and US-based Projects.* Generate monthly reports for business partners, highlighting financial outcomes and recommending necessary actions.* Collaborate with the Accounting team to facilitate monthly and annual financial closure processes.* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of both internal and external influencers, elucidating their impact on performance trends.* Provide support for weekly, monthly, and annual Area/Segment-level meetings, along with involvement in P&L forecasting.* Craft and supervise forecasting reports.* Engage with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure the seamless execution of plans.* Monitor monthly performance against expectations, ensuring responsible resource management by business partners.* Evaluate performance to date, identifying potential risks and opportunities.Experience: * Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Management Accountant / Project Accountant* Great Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, V-look ups)* Demonstrated ability to conduct variance analysis for WIP and stock, identifying and addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.* Have excellent attention to detail & the ability to prioritise, multitask and commitment to meet reporting deadlines.* Good communication and influencing skills - able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders* Hands-on, detail focused and organised with ability to work to deadlines* Quick learner, able to hit the ground runningFor further information on this role please contact Anna Glapiak.Medlock Partners are a professional services recruitment specialist operating across the Northwest of England.
