Job Description

A modern law firm in Wigan is seeking a Senior Solicitor/Team Leader in the Local Authority Recoveries team. This role involves representing 85 councils across England & Wales, specialising in the collection of business rates and council tax, and providingexpert advice on challenging cases.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Solicitors and Paralegals, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
  • Handle your own caseload while ensuring the team meets monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with Local Authority clients, offering expert advice and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Prioritise maintaining the firms excellent reputation for consistent recovery results and outstanding client care.
  • Contribute to the career development of the team members and foster a positive and engaging work environment.
Requirements:
  • 5+ PQE Solicitor with experience in Local Authority Recoveries, business rates, and council tax matters.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
  • Experience in managing relationships with Local Authority clients and providing expert advice.
