Job Description

HSE Compliance Manager required. My Client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufcaturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to employ a HSE Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate willhave a background in the Chemical Sector, Experience with a range of Quality standards such as ISO:14001 and ISO:18001, be Degree qualified in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and be based locally to Wigan.HSE Compliance Manager Position Overview

  • Management and implementation of both ISO:45001 and ISO:18001 QMA
  • Acknowledging, investigation and resolving non-conformance issues
  • Reviewing both internal and external audit requirements
  • Management of Legislation Register, ensuring site compliance through documented checks and protocol
  • Organise all required EHS training programmes for relevant site personnel
  • Develop, implement, and manage regulations under the health and safety at work act 1974 safety programs
  • Site safety protocol including, communication and awareness to all who access site and or restricted areas, site signage and access is gained via suitable procedure
  • Assist the Process Safety team in process hazard assessments (PHA), including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, HFA and the development of ALARP demonstrations, as required under COMAH
HSE Compliance Manager Position Requirements
  • Degree Qualified in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • NEBOSH and IOSH Qualified
  • Previous experience in a HSE Management role is essential
  • Ideally lead auditor qualified in either ISO:45001, 18001 or 9001
  • Previous experience of high tier COMAH sites essential
  • Previous completion and management of risk assessments including COSHH
  • Based within a commutable distance of Wigan
HSE Compliance Manager Position Remuneration
  • Salary £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
  • 8:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday
  • 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
  • Pension
