Soho Flordis UK Limited (part of the SFI Global business) has an immediate requirement for a Part Time Health and Safety Advisor to join their team based in Wigan, Greater Manchester.Location: Wigan, Greater ManchesterSalary: Competitive (pro-rata) + benefits packageJob type: The role is being offered on a part-time basis working three days per weekStart Date: ASAPAre you focussed on making a real difference by working with the team to continue building a strong health and safety culture Are you a self-starter who is highly organised and results focussed and can work well individually as well as engaging with all internal and external stakeholders Health and Safety Advisor - Your new role:As Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for the comprehensive on-site inspection and auditing of all aspects of property and workplace activity to develop and complete the required action plans underpinning full on-site compliance.The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating all policies, procedures and risk assessments working closely with key stakeholders, in accordance with the required management systems and in conjunction with Occupational Health requirements.You will have the ability to drive a positive health and safety culture and mindset underpinned by the Company values and behaviours; supported by conducting a gap analysis to design training materials according to the required health and safety training matrix and delivery to the wider team.Health and Safety Advisor- Key Responsibilities:- Conducting a complete audit and inspection with a gap analysis of the premises to examine the buildings, facilities and furnishings to determine ongoing compliance with statutory requirements and best practice- Preparing a key findings summary and action plan providing guidance and support for any remedial actions in all areas- Completing a full review in terms of fire risk assessments based on RRFSO 2005 with a supporting action plan in place- Conducting a review of existing documents and Company specific risk assessments as required- Specifically, reviewing and updating of task-based risk assessments, policies, and procedures- Developing a training matrix to deliver the required toolbox talks and training sessions as required- Generating the required data associated with accident and near miss reporting as requiredHealth and Safety Advisor - What do you needIn addition to the skills and attributes already outlined, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the required experience in a similar role and Manufacturing environment or similar sector and will hold the required NEBOSH or IOSHH qualification.Other related studies or equivalent experience is highly desirable for this role.We are ideally looking for someone who can join the team with an immediate start, however flexibility can be applied as required.As part of the application process, all applicants should be able to prove they are legally entitled to work in the UK and as part of the post Brexit changes, provide the required evidence in accordance with the EU Settlement Scheme (pre-settled and settled status).To submit your CV for this exciting Part-Time Health and Safety Advisor opportunity, please click ‘Apply’ now!The closing date for this opportunity is Friday 5th March 2021 and interviews will be scheduled from week commencing 8th March 2021.
