Job Description

Company BackgroundHighly dynamic, forward thinking business specialising in the supply of branded and own brand electrical products and appliances to most of the major retailers in the UK and directly to customer homes. The business is in a period of tremendous growth, therefore, to support continuous improvement of their Home Delivery team the business is now recruiting for a Graduate / Junior Transport Planner.DutiesThe Graduate / Junior Transport Planner will be a key member of the of the Home Delivery team. Duties include: -

  • Route planning and scheduling
  • Utilise route planning software and prepare documentation
  • Actively involved with developing systems and software as the business grows
  • Liaising with warehouse, customer service, home delivery technicians and 3rd party courier partners
  • Administration and organisation of relevant paperwork
  • Advise and contribute towards improvements/changes to the route planning process
  • Report/feedback any issues to the Lead Route Planner
  • Ensure that all policy and legislative requirements are adhered to
  • Undertake other miscellaneous tasks as required
    • Sound InterestingTo fill this vacancy, we are looking for graduate applicants with a Business or Commercial similar degree or a non-graduate with working experience in transport planning.You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
