Job Description

Tradewind are recruiting! We are currently recruiting for a full-time Food Technology Teacher to work in one of our client schools in Wigan. The successful candidate will be required to teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, starting after the Easterholidays until the end of the academic year in July.The successful Food Technology Teacher will be joining an Ofsted rated Good 11-16 secondary school with over 1000 students on roll. Our client school is a thriving school community who believe in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum underpinned bya strong faith experience and an excellent pastoral care programme.Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in Food Technology.
  • Develop and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages students to achieve their full potential.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on their work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons, schemes of work and assessments.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in the classroom and in practical sessions.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Food Technology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Good knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • A current DBS check.
Pay:
  • Competitive daily rate of up to £199.03 depending on experience.
