Job Description

Paying between £20k and £22k, a leading services business in Wigan is recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role will be hybrid working with 3 days WFH and 2 days office-based and offers 22 daysholiday per year plus a flexible working pattern. The role can be full-time or could be suitable for people looking for reduced hours over a 5-day week.The RoleYour main responsibility centres around the administration and preparation of the monthly payroll, dealing with payroll queries, and supporting the Management Accountant in the production of monthly Management Information and other finance-related tasks.The role is predominantly administration with some data entry.Key accountabilities:

  • Collating payroll information
  • Inputting payroll data onto company systems
  • Data entry onto excel spreadsheets
  • Running payroll reports and verifying data integrity
  • Dealing with employees on pay-related queries
  • Communicating with other departments in relation to finance matters
  • Preparing and reconciling cashbooks and bank reconciliations
  • Reviewing expense claims and administering the expenses system
  • Administering the weekly payment run process
The PersonThis will suit someone who is highly numerate and has good attention to detail. Previous experience of working within an office environment is essential. Strong administrative skills are key and you will have good Microsoft office skills, especially Excel,and strong communication skills. This would really suit someone wanting to gain more experience within a Finance department and improve existing administrative skills.
