Established in1982 Concept has earned its place as the preferred contractor for many blue-chip organisations.With the order books full well into 2022, an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to join the team has arisen. The role will be to undertake both estimating and quantity surveying duties, working alongside a team of project managers.Responsibilities include;prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and timeprepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the clientnegotiate contracts and work schedulesperform risk, value management and cost control during constructionundertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project workadvise on a procurement strategyidentify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risksprovide advice on contractual claims and disputesanalyse outcomes and write detailed progress reportsvalue completed work, oversee bills and arrange paymentsmaintain awareness of the different building contracts in current useunderstand the implications of health and safety regulations.The person:Must have experience in a variety of tenders, fit out projects and have worked on projects up to £1,000,000.Will have a minimum of 4 years experience estimating and have contactable references. You will need to have an excellent understanding of managing budgets for large construction projects and have broad client relationship management abilities.Knowledge/experience of building services preferred but not essential.Able to produce a program of work and identify key milestones.Used to working on several tenders at any one-time maintaining accuracy and attention to detail whilst working with tight deadlines, targets and timescales.Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.Can communicate effectively both in person and over the phone.
