Job Description

Tradewind are Recruiting!An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Computer Science/iMedia Teacher to join an Ofsted rated Good (2022) secondary school in Wigan. The successful candidate will be required to start immediately after February half-term until Easter initially,with the potential for the contract to be extended. This is a full-time position paying up to £199.03 per day, depending on experience.The school has a clear vision and through the school values and personalised approach to learning it is expected that students achieve the highest academic excellence, recognise opportunities, have a positive view of challenges and dare to think in new ways- to be creative and realise life is what you make it.Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science/iMedia to students in line with the schools curriculum and standards, and in accordance with our vision and ethos.
  • Assess students progress and provide feedback to them, parents, and other stakeholders, in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and achievement, and which supports our vision and values.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other data, and use this information to inform instruction and intervention as necessary, to ensure that each student achieves their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extra-curricular activities, staff meetings, and other events, and by supporting our vision and values.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the field of Computer Science/iMedia education and use this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning, and to help us achieve our vision of providing a world-class education for all students.
Legal Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent experience of teaching Computer Science/iMedia at secondary level in the UK.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full work history with any employment gaps accounted for
