Job Description

� Join our clients team as an Assistant Cemetery Operative! � Contract Type: Temporary Hourly rate From: £12.18 Contract Length: 5 weeks� Are you passionate about maintaining the dignity and beauty of our local cemeteries Our client is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team across the borough! As an Assistant Cemetery Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the presentationand care of our cemetery grounds to the highest standard. � Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being accountable for the preparation, presentation, and back filling of graves in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, utilising the appropriate equipment and tools.
  • Taking pride in maintaining the stunning appearance of all cemetery grounds by performing tasks such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, weed killing, planting, bin emptying, litter/leaf collection, floral tribute management, and site security.
  • Empowering yourself to carry out maintenance activities to achieve the expected presentation in all cemetery grounds, including lift and level procedures to ensure a level surface.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and local rules and regulations, fostering a safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Assisting the Cemeteries Team Leader in planning new memorialization, locating graves using plans and electronic information, and managing floral tributes.
  • Cover a total of 9 cemeteries across the borough.
