Job Description

Transport Customer Services ManagerWidnesMonday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm£35,000 - £40,000Are you passionate about transport and dedicated to delivering exceptional service Do you thrive in building lasting relationships with clients Heres a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Customer Services Manager in a dynamic environment!Benefits:-

Your Skills & Experience:-
  • Proven experience as a Transport Planner
  • Experience of generating backloads is highly desirable
  • Previous Customer Service / account Management experience within a transport or road haulage operation
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport planning systems, ideally Mandata
  • Proven experience in customer service, account management, and transport planning.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:-
  • Maintain and develop existing customer relationships, serving as their primary contact.
  • Drive revenue targets by identifying and securing work from new third-party customers.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to explore new transport opportunities through market research and outreach.
  • Implement strategies to expand the customer base and ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Guide new clients through the onboarding process and ensure seamless integration.
  • Work closely with the Transport Planning team to ensure accurate customer consignments and compliance with regulations.
