Job Description

Operations Manager - ConstructionWidnes £350 Day RateMy client is a privately owned business specialising in commercial, residential and development sectors. My client owns and manages developments from start to the end phase.They are currently looking to appoint an operations manager to join them to support their continued growth and project progress.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day management of consultant teams co-ordination.
  • Developing resource strategies and ensuring appropriate levels to meet workload demands
  • Overseeing Principal contractor from client aspect to ensure build targets are met
  • Overseeing and improving company IT systems, and operational processes for documentation
  • Driving and promoting health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Inputting/preparing proposals and bid reviews.
  • Providing support to business development contract packages as appropriate
  • Effective resource management including assistive project planning, forecasting.
  • Overseeing client liaison on all operational issues relating to construction
  • Supporting project managers during required times of crisis management.
  • Effective management of company legislation responsibilities and legal compliance
  • Financial budget, profit, forecasting and financial reporting to managing directors
  • Co-ordination of system design, implementation and utilisation
  • Attending project review meetings as required
  • Developing competencies across all consultant disciplines
  • Other reasonable adhoc duties as requested by managing directors
Requirements
  • Ensure zero harm to all personnel (including employees, clients and sub-contractors)
  • Uphold company safety standards across day to day business operations.
  • Ensure all work quality is to the agreed company standard
  • Define operating procedures and drive adherence
  • Ensure project governance is maintained across project team
  • Set and achieve operational KPIs
  • Successful relationship management with key clients and team members
  • Input to and the resolution of client queries
