Job Description

Business: SARIA’s UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The Group’s companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture,and industrial applications. The company also produces biofuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across thecountry.The PositionApplications are invited for a Control Room Operative at our SecAnim Ltd, Widnes site. This site is a 24-hour operation running 365 days per year. The position is full time, permanent working 12-hour shifts, on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).As a Control Room Operative your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Overseeing the process including the electrical generation from renewable energy sources.
  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Continuous process operation.
  • Finished product quality.
  • Troubleshooting production / engineering problems on a busy Energy Plant, including basic engineering knowledge.
  • Working as a Team member.
  • Data Logging and Sampling.
  • Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.
The Person
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing / factory environment, ideally in an energy plant that specialises in Steam and Generation. Recycling industry experience is beneficial.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving and produce appropriate solutions to reduce disruption to working processes.
  • Have a calm and methodical approach to work and be able to work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Manage workload and daily task effectively and troubleshoot as and when required.
  • Must be a team worker, helping the team to be developed and maintained.
