Laundry SupervisorWickford, EssexFull Time, permanent positionCompetitive salary and bonus schemeDo you have both specialist Laundry experience and supervisory experienceWe are looking for a talented individual to join our team on a full time and permanent basis as a Laundry Supervisor situated at our Wickford Operations Centre for phs Besafe, part of phs Group - the leading Hygiene Services provider in the UK. We need that special someone with the right mix of commercial laundry knowledge and supervisory experience to assist the Depot Manager with the day-to-day running of the laundry, ensuring that all phs Besafe products are washed to a high standard and in accordance with phs Group company procedures. We specialise in flexible and reliable managed workwear and unique commercial laundry services, ideal for industrial businesses looking to relieve the pressure of managing employees’ workwear making us the market-leading provider across the UK.A day in the life of a Laundry Supervisor with phs Besafe will involve:

  • Ensuring all laundry plant and equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and our safe systems of work
  • Making sure all daily and weekly checks are carried out / recorded, and if any breakdowns occur to ensure the Depot Manager is aware and arrange appropriate engineer maintenance
  • Monitoring and recording laundry chemical usage and ensuring we always hold appropriate levels of stock
  • Assisting the Depot Manager in the smooth daily operation of the laundry and that all laundry employees are suitably competent in the tasks they are assigned as per company policy
  • Responsibility for quality control throughout the wash process, as well as ensuring the laundry environment is kept clean, tidy and safe, and that all laundry loads are processed in the appropriate timescales
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships within the team
  • Recording all KPIs, including wash loads by type, weight, length of time taken to wash, operator hours, machine usage hours and utilities readings
  • Additional responsibilities when covering for the Depot Manager may include driver management.The ideal candidate for a Laundry Supervisor with phs Besafe will have:
  • Previous experience of working in a commercial laundry environment
  • Experience as a Supervisor of a team
  • Motivational and leadership skills
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Computer literacy skillsIn return for your commitment and expertise, you will get:
  • Salary in excess of £20,000 inclusive of bonus payments as detailed below
