Job Description

Infrastructure Support Engineer - WickfordPosted - 24.03.20 - My client are actively recruiting this role. If you are a hands-on, technically experienced candidate and have proven experience within IT Support and Infrastructure then I have a great new opportunity that has just become available with a growing, local company.This position will see your time being split roughly into user support/training and infrastructure support, keeping each week varied and interesting.System knowledge required:

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud management experience
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 10
  • IT and Telecommunications (LAN/WAN, Routers, VPNs, VLAN, Firewalls, Switches, PBX deployment, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, Nagios or similar, Office 365, ITIL, VM servers and Thin client terminal servers
  • VoIP telephony and voice recording systems
    • Key responsibilities for this role:
  • User workstation setup experience
  • Mobile phone devices setup and management for users
  • Providing printers and print servers support
  • Support Apple and Windows devices, branch location security camera systems integrations and end point security set up
  • Monitor, diagnose, detect and resolve infrastructure, networking and performance issues
  • Experience of administering policies for security and company hardware usage
  • Providing empathy based collaborative relationship with internal users and able to maintain collaborative partnerships with 3rd parties
  • Playing a key role in managing disaster recovery business continuity planning, governance policies and drills
  • Ability to train users in how to use IT hardware and office software
    • This position will see you travelling to sites and potential over-night stays required - All UK based and on occasion as opposed to regular travel each week.
