Job Description

Are you a qualified Financial Controller looking for their next move A global brand based in Wickford are looking for a Financial Controller to head-up their finance function and lead various projects.You will be the head of the department where you will be responsible for managing all day to day accounting operations while becoming an integral part of the senior leadership team. They are offering a salary up to £70,000, the chance to lead several projects and expand the team as the business continues to grow.What you will do:

  • Lead the small finance function including the management accounts process, budgets, forecasts and overall financial strategy for the business
  • Identify financial risks and put in place appropriate measures to control these risks while highlighting areas for improvements
  • Lead the year-end process, including all statutory requirements and preparation of Group Reporting Package
  • Review, co-ordinate and challenge budgets across the operations function
  • Lead and manage all areas of tax compliance including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and Customs Duty
  • Become an integral part of the senior management team providing both financial and commercial insight into day-to-day operations
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals
  • Oversee payroll function inclusive of pensions, holiday and NI etc
  • Support various month-end routines and reporting
  • Drive process improvements and highlight areas efficiencies can be administered
  • Build strong working relationships with department heads and provide insight into working processes
