Job Description

Credit Controller - Temp to PermOur client based in Wickford are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This is a sole credit control position, therefore the successful candidate will be taking full ownership of the debt ledger and managingup-to 3000 clients working in a small team in which each member supports each other during busy periods.Duties:

  • Chase overdue debt via phone and emailing - Building a rapport with clients to ensure a good working relationship
  • Follow up diary reminders on chasing debt
  • Responsibility for running the Credit Control function in line with the Company Debtor policy
  • Identify overdue accounts
  • Log all invoice queries and liaise with relevant departments to resolve them
  • Seek approval for customer credits and raise credits on the system every Friday
  • Ownership of the Debtors ledger to ensure credits, unallocated cash and historic debts are cleared
  • Manage the orders on credit hold and on stop accounts as per debtor policy
  • Process and manage all debt recovery through legal
  • Taking customer payments over the phone
  • Issue statements on the 2nd of every month
  • Process new account applications from initial receipt to opening/refusal within set time-frames
  • Review and manage customer credit limits daily and as required
  • Create sales invoices daily, email out and post onto ledger
  • Ensure customer contact details are kept up to date
Requirements:
  • Experience using Sage 200 or Line 50 is essential
  • Experience using Xero would be an advantage but not essential
  • AAT qualified / part qualified would be an advantage but not essential
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Team player and an excellent communicator
