Job Description

Band 5 - Senior IT Service Desk Analyst - NHS Trust partnership. - Wickford, Essex SS11 area A qualified Band 5 - Senior IT Service Desk Analyst is required for a Trust partnership role, based in the Wickford, Essex SS11 area.Commencement: AsapHours: Monday - Friday 8.45 am to 17.15 pmOverview: As a qualified Band 5 - Senior IT Service Desk Analyst, the suitable candidate must ideally have an IT background and excellent people skills.You will be offering Technical Advice, both on the phone, and offering IT Support on site. You will be required to go onto the Wards, hence the reason for needing to be based on site. However, you will be accompanied by a member of Staff at all times; and although patients will be around, you will have no dealings with them; however an enhanced DBS will be required. There may also be occasions when you would be required to travel between 2 other Trust partnership sites both in Rayleigh, Essex areas.Due to the site locations the suitable candidate must ideally drive.

  • Able to lift and move equipment, e.g. PCs, (in line with H&S legislation)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Personal time management
  • Ability to prioritise own work
  • System Integration skills
  • Experience of Remote Desktop Services
  • Knowledge of how to build, configure, administer and support all versions of Windows desktops and laptops
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS
  • ITIL principles and procedures
  • Able to motivate Staff
