Our client is seeking a switched-on, enthusiastic candidate, with good Microsoft Excel skill, looking for an administrative role, and has either already worked in an accounts department, or has interest in doing so to join their welcoming and busy team.Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9.00am until 5.00pm. The annual salary is £20,000, however there may be slight room for negotiation depending on experience.Please be aware that a short Microsoft Excel test will be carried out at interview stage.Benefits include:* 24 days holiday (3 days to be used for Christmas closure plus 1 day to be reserved for Christmas Eve should this fall on a weekday. A further day holiday peryear following 10 years service (Max 28)* Holiday purchase of up to 5 days* Life Insurance (Death in Service) 2 x annual salary* Annual salary review - takes place each January* Workplace pension* Personal accident Insurance * Corporate eyecare scheme * Onsite canteen* Onsite parking* Employee assistance programmeKey responsibilities:* Follow procedures to assist in opening new accounts and contracts* Process sales, adhering to the internal authorisations and processes* Carry out weekly audits* Check queries have been amended correctly* Check and distribute daily invoices* Ensure customer purchase orders are up to date* Carry entry of invoices onto an online system* Assist with month end invoicing and processing of credit notes* Process and update monthly management reports* Update monthly customer reports* Process and check workshop invoices* Daily cash reconciliations* Work with Credit Control to resolve customer queries* Ensure monthly debtors lists have been produced and distributed* Assist in creating monthly customer and management reports (Excel)* Ad-hoc duties as assignedKey attributes:* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* An enthusiastic attitude towards both work and learning new systems and processes* A positive and flexible attitude with the ability to act on own initiative* Excellent problem-solving skills for timely and efficient resolution of invoice queries* Capable of working well under pressure, prioritise workloads and adhere to strict deadlines* IT literate - Word and Outlook are essential* Intermediate in Excel - able to manipulate reports and filter information* Familiar with using accounts software packagesPlease bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
