Job Description

Job Title - Finance AssistantLocation - Wickford, EssexSalary - £30,000 - £38,000A leading professional accountancy practice based in Essex, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant/Accountant to join our dedicated team. With a strong emphasis on providing high-quality accounting, tax, and VAT services, we pride ourselveson delivering tailored solutions to our diverse client base.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bookkeeping duties, maintaining accurate financial records for clients, Reconcile bank statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Provide advice on VAT-related matters to clients and address any compliance issues.
  • Manage VAT processes for clients, including preparation, reconciliation, and submission of VAT returns.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and corporations.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
  • conduct comprehensive accounts preparation for a range of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience in accounts preparation, tax, and VAT within an accountancy practice would be desirable
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or part-qualified is desirable.
