Job Description

Salary:Rising after 12 week probationFrom £10.40 to £11.44 per hour + OvertimeShifts / Hours: 06.45-15:15 / 14:45-23:15 / 22:45-07:15 Monday to Friday ROTATION weekend work Overtime Quest Employment are recruiting for Quality Controller roles on a temporary to permanent basis based in Whittlesey. To be considered for the Quality Controller role all candidates must be flexible within reason, reliable, and available for an immediate startwhen successful. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment and be responsible for product quality to meet the required specifications.Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of Plastic Moulded products. Our client is growing company with many opportunities in a site based in Whittlesey. Shifts are 06.45-15:15 / 14:45-23:15 / 22:45-07:15 Monday to Friday ROTATION, weekend work Overtime.The site operates 24/7 so work is over 7 days with the majority of work over the weekdays.Salary Breakdown:

  • Days - From £10.40 per hour upto 42.5 hours, £15.60 per hour after 42.5 hours
  • Nights - From £11.44 per hour upto 42.5 hours, £17.16 per hour after 42.5 hours
Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Operators, Managers and Leaders with 1st off checks and process approval
  • Produce updates for job instruction sheets to the latest business and customer requirements
  • Work on traceability exercises when/if required
  • Audit and check the running manufacturing process
  • Sorting of non-conformances and arrange quarantine by means of a notice and tape making them unavailable to customers and production
  • Support new & existing launches by managing quality parameters
Required skills:
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written), problem solving skills with a logical approach
  • Good level of computer literacy (Word and Excel are Essential)
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload to ensure that all work is completed in time and in full
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Confident in being able to challenge, and maintain product quality, safety and legality
  • Professionalism when presenting the business during external or supplier audits
  • Quality Control/Auditor experience essential, training could be provided for the right candidate
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with knowledge of risk assessments
