Job Description

Milk Education are working with a lovely mainstream primary school based in Whitley Bay, who are currently seeking a Behavioural Specialist to support primary students with ADHD & behavioural needs, the chosen candidate will be working in a full time position5 days a week Monday-Friday.This school is a large primary school based in Whitley Bay (excellent transport links close by), this school require staff to work from 8:3015:30.This school are looking for a Behavioural Specialist that holds previous UK experience working in schools, and holds a passion for working with students that have ADHD & behavioural needs.Working under the guidance of a friendly and dedicated SENCO, you will be responsible for supporting young pupils with ADHD and other SEN.The ideal Behavioural Specialist:

  • Will be hardworking, dedicated, and committed to a long-term post
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Holds the ability to deal with challenging behaviour
  • Should have a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ or relevant experience.
  • Will have experience working within the education sector, as a support worker or will have personal experience working with SEN.
Key responsibilities of the Behavioural Specialist:
  • Prepare learning materials under teacher supervision
  • Working both in and outside the classroom to support individual learners or groups of learners
  • Adapting your approach to learning based on a learners needs
  • Look after childrens physical, social, and emotional welfare
  • Creating a stimulating environment for the children youll be working with
  • Provide teachers with help and any information that they need
