Job Description

Bakery Team Member - Food Preparation - Cooking Assistant - Catering / KitchenWhitley Bay, North TynesideThis is a permanent position working 7am2pm over 5 days, Monday- SaturdayHourly rate of pay dependent upon experience, minimum £10 per hourYoud be working for a great businessOur client is a family owned, small independent butchers with an onsite bakery that has been established for over 100 years.They supply local sourced meat and home cooked pies, pastry and bakery products to both retail and wholesale customers.The business offers a pleasant working environment, generous staff discounts on products and full training will be given to the successful candidate.A bit about the roleThe bakery role covers a wide range of responsibilities including

  • Working alongside the butchery team
  • Producing a wide range of pies, vegetable dishes, chicken products, scotch eggs, sandwich fillers and preparing buffets.
  • Producing items to fulfil customer orders.
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained and freezer stock is replenished (following production plans)
