Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Autism Teaching Assistant to join an innovative and driven team within an Outstanding Ofsted rated school.Bay Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who have recent experience in a learning support role or have a background of caring for children and young adults with SEND, experience working closely with studentthat have ASD is essential.In registering an interest for this type of position you should be passionate, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team or on your own initiative.You should be confident in your abilities to support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups who have a variety of Special Educational Needs, these primarily being ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and also additional complex needs.The role:

  • Working with SEN students assisting and leading their learning of a variety of subjects.
  • Working 1:1 or in groups with children delivering intervention and supporting with their academic development
  • As well as joining a warm and welcoming team of staff and support team.
  • We are looking for primarily for a HLTA/ASD TA who has experience within the Autism specialism

  • To be able to manage behaviour and communicate with children of both key stages.
  • It is beneficial to have all correct qualifications required to be a HLTA/ASD TA along with as having experience working in a similar environment.
  • As well as being able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
