Job Description

Day Webster are recruiting candidates now!Day Webster are actively working on behalf of a high number of Special Needs Schools including PRU`s, Inclusion Centers, Alternative Provisions and Hospital Schools in LincolnWe are currently registering a range of UK & overseas trained teachers and specialist support staff with experience in teaching Primary, Secondary & FE, with experience in SEN, Special Schools, Outreach or Alternative Provisions and with an interest to work in any of the London Boroughs.Day Webster are looking for several outstanding, dynamic and innovative teachers and classroom support staff who are looking for both long term and permanent work.The right candidate must have previous experience of teaching or supporting small classes of children who have behavioural or learning difficulties. You will need to be an engaging and creative qualified teacher or specialist support worker. If you are an overseas trained teacher, a valid UK Naric and QTS certificate will be required.Successful applicants will be required to have some experience teaching in or supporting pupils with any or all of the following:*** Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)*** Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)*** Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)*** Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)*** Behaviour Emotional Social Difficulties (BESD)*** Pupil Referral Units (PRU)*** Alternative Provisions (AP) or Hospital SchoolsThese roles are often long term and would suit teachers or support staff with previous experience in special needs who have an interest in working with pupils with challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.Candidates should:*** Hold a valid DBS (conducted in the last 12 months)*** Have good classroom management dealing with challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties*** Have outstanding communication skills*** Commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs*** Have exceptional interpersonal skills*** Have the ability to use own initiative*** Have great problem solving skills*** Have the capability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties*** Have an observant and responsive approach*** Have a positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude*** Be patient, considerate and compassionate towards pupilsIf you meet the above criteria, we would like to meet with you.
