Job Description

Teaching Assistants (SEMH) Required in Kings Lynn!Reed Education are working in partnership with a fantastic SEN school in Kings Lynn, and due to expansion of the school, we are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join us permanently in the Summer Term!The School:

Specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health

Highly regarded and well-established SEN school

Provides individualised educational programmes and tailored curriculum to meet specific needs

Caters for primary and secondary aged students

Highly supportiveSenior Leadership Team

The Role:

Full time, permanent position, term time only (39 weeks of the year)

To provide support in the classroom for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties

To work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups of up to 8 students

Supporting students with their social and emotional development

Work alongside teaching staff, to provide safe and positive learning environments

Salary between £16,000-£18,000 pro rata

What we are looking for:

Experience of working with challenging behaviour (ideally in a similar setting)

Experience of working in a support role (TA, LSA, Support Worker)

An understanding of special needs (work related, volunteering or personal experience)

Enhanced DBS check (we can support you with this)

Supportive, patient, resilient and have a positive approach

Ability to adapt to challenging situations
