Job Description

Teaching Assistants (SEMH) Required in Kings Lynn!Reed Education are working in partnership with a fantastic SEN school in Kings Lynn, and due to expansion of the school, we are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join us permanently in the Summer Term!The School:

  • Specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health
  • Highly regarded and well-established SEN school
  • Provides individualised educational programmes and tailored curriculum to meet specific needs
  • Caters for primary and secondary aged students
  • Highly supportiveSenior Leadership Team
  • The Role:
  • Full time, permanent position, term time only (39 weeks of the year)
  • To provide support in the classroom for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
  • To work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups of up to 8 students
  • Supporting students with their social and emotional development
  • Work alongside teaching staff, to provide safe and positive learning environments
  • Salary between £16,000-£18,000 pro rata
  • What we are looking for:
  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour (ideally in a similar setting)
  • Experience of working in a support role (TA, LSA, Support Worker)
  • An understanding of special needs (work related, volunteering or personal experience)
  • Enhanced DBS check (we can support you with this)
  • Supportive, patient, resilient and have a positive approach
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations
