Job Description

JA1319 – Warehouse ManagerLocation – Whaley Bridge, High Peak SK23Type – PermanentSalary - DOEOverview:We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our client. The successful candidate will have previous Warehouse Management experience. They would have the Logistics Manager and Workshop Manager working under them.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the purchasing of packaging materials for the day to day running of the warehouse.
  • Materials such as; cardboard boxes, wooden heat treated crates, wooden side panels for pallets, pallets, packing tape, loose fill, bubble wrap etc.
  • Managing the purchasing of consumable items for the Workshop such as; drill bits, paint, fasteners, sand paper, lubricants etc.
  • Striving to innovate the way that goods are stored in the warehouse, to make things more efficient; both in terms of storage space and ease for operators to pick orders.
  • Ensuring that stock rotation best practices are being followed by the warehouse team.
  • Ensuring that procedures are being followed correctly by the warehouse team.
  • Reporting trends in stock demand back to the office team to make the purchasing process more efficient.
  • Highlighting old slow moving stock to the sales team so that they can try to actively promote it to our customer base.
  • Scheduling morning meetings & weekly meetings with the warehouse team to discuss daily priorities and warehousing needs.
  • Scheduling a monthly meeting with the Customer Service Manager to discuss important issues with regards to running of the warehouse and any equipment needs.
  • In busy periods and for holiday cover periods they’d need to assist the team with packing of orders and booking in of received goods.
