Job Description

The successful candidate will become on architect of the schools renewal, leading on and accountable for the schools business, financial and estate operations and policies, and contributing to a management culture of integrated practice. The DFR will be accountable to the Principal for the Schools financial affairs, business modelling and management, marketing, administration, health and safety, premises and asset management. The post holder will be a member of the schools Executive Team who are accountable for the vision and practice of the entire school in offering a progressive, professional and outward looking Waldorf education.The school is currently undergoing a period of intense renewal following an inadequate Ofsted inspection in January 2020, since which the school has been closed to students. A planned reopening in September 2020 has been deferred to September 2021, or earlier if it becomes possible, and the schools provision, policies and pedagogy are undertaking a systemic renewal. Safeguarding and childrens wellbeing are a foundation of this practice and the DFR will be expected to show insight and clarity in this area, as well as supporting the schools Designated Safeguarding Lead in the fulfilment of their duties. The successful candidate will be values led and versatile, with a proven track record in business management.
