It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the Role- The FHS&T Regulatory Affairs Lead will be the key point of contact in evaluating and progressing Science & Technology opportunities FHS&T. This role will review new ideas and enable regulatory support as required (from categories/other regulatory supportoptions), especially in the early stages of de-risking emerging/emerged Science & Technology.FHS&T is unique in that it pursues and builds strategic advantages in prioritized areas of science and technology application to deliver growth in strategic key verticals that enable our brands/BUs to take up future leadership positions through Deep Humanunderstanding and unique & differentiated Trusted Science. The FHS&T group translates new approaches learnt in the process of building strategic science & technology into new capabilities for R&D. As such, the Regulatory Affairs Lead will need to use broadexperience and learning agility to provide the leadership required. In addition to strategic leadership, the Regulatory Affairs Lead will need to oversee the execution of Regulatory activities, extending the breadth of the role.

  • This role will be the functional regulatory expert for all the science & technology verticals within FHS&T, providing strategic regulatory direction on new projects/ideas.
  • This role will help identify and support science & technology derisking opportunities that currently fall outside of the category structures but will need to dover tail once de-risked in Categories and BUs. This role will ensure resources are available todeliver regulatory submissions as needed for FHS&T activities.
  • This role will require the individual to build and drive the advocacy strategy and plan for the new science & technology spaces FHS&T is looking to de-risk/identify for Horizon 3
  • Requires high degree of agility and flexibility across regulatory classifications (Drugs, Supplements, Digital, Diagnostics, Devices, Services, and Claims)
  • Requires understanding and knowledge of global Regulatory requirements.
  • Will provide input to the Benefit/Risk Safety Assessments of Haleon projects.
Key Responsibilities-Scoping and Discovery
  • Strong business partner and member of the FHS&T leadership, use Regulatory insights to guide and shape the portfolios.
  • Lead Regulatory assessments of new opportunities, review new ideas/concepts (using creative solutions for those that sit outside established categories).
  • Provide advice on regulatory requirements in Business Units under consideration for execution of in-market test & learn.
Development-
  • Lead creation of regulatory strategies that guide the best derisking of emerging/emerged Science & Technology, and advocacy to support future scaling of the new science & technology.
  • Delivery of regulatory support for the development of labeling, claims, advertising, promotion, and informational for Science & Technology platforms.
  • Coordination of Regulatory meetings with boards of health as required including building new advocacy networks for new science & technology to facilitate proof of interest & proof of science milestones.
Consultancy
  • Key advisor to the business on all regulatory aspects of assigned projects. Must be abreast of healthcare trends and how they may impact the regulatory environment and Haleon.
  • Key advisor on the application of communication solutions to regulatory issues.
Knowledge/Experience Required
  • BA/BSc Background
  • Ideal experience required for this role is 10+ years, with 4+ years of experience in Consumer Health.
