Job Description

Ward Williams is actively seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our independent and rapidly growing accountancy firm based in Weybridge, KT13 8RN. The successful Accounts Assistant role will suit a self-motivated individual looking for an entry level positionwithin the Business Services team assisting in the delivery of the departmental workflows. This is an excellent opportunity that offers on the job training, an interesting and varied workload and the opportunity to progress to a Bookkeeper after 18 months.What we offer:

About the Role:
  • Accounts Assistant
  • Full time position
  • Provide a professional level of service
  • Support Senior Staff
  • Liaise with the client
  • Drafting of initial fees notes for managers
  • Accounts finalisation templates
  • Dealing with year-end opening balance adjustments and dividend details
  • Preparation of final accounts pack to go to client
  • Ensure money laundering checks have been completed adequately and in a timely fashion
  • Assist with data processing, bookkeeping and VAT returns
Requirements:To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant you will have:
  • Mathematical GCSE/A level qualification
  • A proven academic history
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Working towards AAT qualification (preferred but not compulsory)
