Job Description

Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver£9.50 to £10 per hour + company pension + bonus schemeWetherbyfree on site car parkingMonday to Friday 8am to 4.30pmDriving licence essentialWe are looking to recruit aWarehouse Operativeto join our team at our head office and warehouselocation near Wetherby, in North Yorkshire.We are a growing business, importing natural stone and porcelain tiles from around the world. We currently have three retail showrooms across the UK, with a fourth showroom opening in Autumn 2021.As a WarehouseOperativeyou need to have experience of driving folk lift trucks, picking and packing orders, and a keen eye for quality control. Your role will include:

  • Stacking and packing heavy goods & quality checking as per agreed standards
  • Receive container deliveriesespecially quality control, as per agreed standards
  • Fabrication of stone and sample cutting - training will be given
  • Support the set-up of exhibitions
  • Warehouse and yard tidying and cleaning
  • Following waste and recycling procedures
  • Following processes for deliveries in and out
  • Warehouse security & H&S focused
  • Warehouse organisation & helping to conduct stock takes
Other Skills & Experience
  • Positive and pro-active approach to change and keen to help the business continuously improve.
  • Able to use own initiative to highlightareas of concern, improvement ideas, and organise own workload
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to work with changing demands
  • Folk lift truck licence desirable
  • Full UK driving licence essential
