Production Planner/SchedulerPerm role, £30k to £35k pa DOE, Mon to ThursWETHERBYInteraction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to work for a busy Engineering firm based in Wetherby. This role will suit someone who will be looking for a step up to a Production Supervisor role further down the line.Working closely with the Production Manager, you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly production schedules, liaising with all departments to continuously manage the production plan, and to achieve customer requirements on time and in full.Day to day tasks for this role will include:- Ensure that all incoming production requests are acknowledged promptly and processed into the production schedule-Ensure that all relevant drawings, BOMs, and other required worksheets are printed for the production departments-Produce procurement requirements for the buying department-Create and update weekly labour and capacity plans, presenting weekly to management teams-Working with 3rd Party Transport companies to plan transport and deliver to customers-Deal with availability issues that might impact on schedule and identify options and solutions-Main point of contact for staff to chase up on missing parts or quality issues-Attend project/production meetings and communicate instructions-Liaise with multiple customers ensuring good communication throughout the process to allTo be successful, you will ideally have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years. Other keys skills required:-Must have planned/scheduled within the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry-Knowledge of working with small batch sizes would be beneficial-Ability to work with multiple customers simultaneously-Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills-Able to think on your feet/quickly under pressure-Good strength of character and personality with drive and energy-Good communication and client-facing skills-Must possess excellent IT skillsThe core working hours for this role are 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday.
