Job Description

PR and Communications Executive - Are you a PR enthusiast and natural communicator looking for a new challenge and opportunity to advance your marketing skills and career with a growing business Then look no further!We are the leading independent UK distributor of thermal and acoustic insulation, interior systems, fire protection, construction products, roofing, and external faade materials. They are currently recruiting for a PR and Communications Executive to join our team and make your mark with stand-out ideas and copy to support and enhance our brand positioning across our stakeholder groups!Reporting to the Group Marketing Strategy & Communications Director, this exciting new role requires a creative thinker, strong copywriter, and confident driver to shape and deliver key messages about our people, business and teams via our internal communicationplatforms and external PR. The PR and Communications Executive will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by continual learning and development, and embrace strong teamwork.Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, write and distribute press releases, news stories and case studies.
  • Brainstorm fresh ideas for PR content to ensure our external communications stays innovative, dynamic, and relevant, and reflects our business specialisms and values consistently and effectively.
  • Maintain media schedules, media lists and magazine subscriptions to ensure we have access to all relevant publications for our specialist areas.
  • Liaise with trade media, monitor media coverage, analyse and report results to demonstrate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and ongoing activity.
  • Plan, manage and deliver a proactive social media schedule that reflects interesting and engaging content about our business, teams, and specialisms. This includes briefing and working with our external creative agency as required to develop supportingimagery, assets, or materials.
  • Ensure all news items, blogs, articles, and case studies are adapted for our website, uploaded in a timely way and clearly visible and accessible on all relevant pages.
  • Develop, coordinate, and complete a quarterly company e-newsletter and other relevant e-shots to echo and reinforce key PR messages.
  • Ensure all PR and associated work is completed and distributed in accordance with our brand guidelines.
  • Guardian of all internal communication documents to ensure they remain relevant, to brand, up-to-date and accessible across all required platforms.
  • Manage, coordinate, and develop new internal communications in line with business objectives and plans.
  • Manage and coordinate our internal e-news and quarterly printed newsletter. This includes proposing ideas for developing our internal communications, so it stays fresh, dynamic, and interesting.
  • Content management of our Intranet across all areas - ensuring content is uploaded in a timely way and the platform is monitored daily.
  • Coordinate digital or printed material as required to support our internal communications.
  • Prepare briefs and work with our external creative agency to develop supporting imagery, assets, or materials for the effective delivery of our internal communications.
The PR and Communications Executive will have at least 2 years experience in a PR or marketing role, preferably B2B as well as strong copywriting and communication skills. A bachelors degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing ora business-related discipline is required. Experience working with the full marketing mix: offline, online, social, and digital.Familiarity with the main B2B social media platforms and channels is essential. You will be competent with Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, and email software e.g. Dotmailer. Attention to detail whilst being comfortable in a fast-paced environment and workingto multiple or tight deadlines is required. You will be able to build effective working relationships across our teams with the confidence to work with relevant stakeholder groups for the effective completion and delivery of our PR or internal communications.You will also need access to your own transport.On offer is a competitive salary plus bonus scheme. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week.
