Job Description

Learning Support PractitionerFull time£22000Full TimeReed Specialist Recruitment are recruiting for a Learning Support Practitioner to work within Offender Learning.Pupose of the Role;To promote progression and independent learning by delivering high quality, literacy, language and numeracy, learner-focused learning support to meet contractual requirements and standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with tutors/trainers to develop lesson plans to ensure that plans are in place to include all learners and maximise their ability to fulfil their potential as learners
  • Contribute to individual learning plans
  • Contribute to the initial assessment process for learners as required
Requirements;
  • Ideally working in education, training, guidance, advice & counselling environments
  • Have experience of working with young people with SEND
  • Must have a knowledge of education and barriers which learners could face
  • Awareness of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Good Knowledge of how to support leaners within an education provision
