My client, a leading company within the Biological testing field are currently looking to add an experienced Scientist to join their team within Histology. The company are looking for a Histology Lead/manager and therefore this is an excellent job opportunity for someone with experience within the field to further develop.As a Histology Lead/manager, you will contributor to one of the Worlds largest diagnostic companies. This is a full-time permanent role with competitive benefits.The job is commutable from Leeds, York, Harrogate and similar locations.This is a Monday-Friday job working 06:00-14:30.Day to day responsibilities:- Line managethe department, responsible for reportsperformance, engagement, and development- Supervising and organising the laboratory, staff, and workflow.- Solveproblems,troubleshoot, and working towards defined targets while getting the best out of a team.- Preparesamples for anatomical pathology interpretation from specimen dissection, through microtomy to staining and QC-You will contribute to process improvements, Lean initiatives, and maintaining ISO accreditation for the lab-You will communicate with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as neededAre you right for this role- You will have practical experience in a Histopathology laboratory, with theoretical and practical knowledge, ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience-You will have experience working in a laboratory and leading and mentoring a team- You will have aBSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent-You are flexible and able to adapt to and champion change-Experience in lean principles of working is desirable but not essential-You will have a passion for science, innovation, and the opportunity to work on behalf of global pet health.If you are interested, please send over your up to date CV in word format to me.If this job is not right for you but you know someone who would be interested, make the most out of our refer a friend scheme by forwarding on their contact details.
