Job Description

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) & Teaching AssistantLocation: Wetherby, West YorkshireStart Date: JanuaryContract Type: Temporary to PermanentSalary: £19,000 - £22,000 per annumAbout the School: We are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in Wetherby, who are a dedicated team of educators fostering a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence. They are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) & Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in January. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the teaching andlearning process in their school, assisting both teachers and students to create a positive and engaging educational experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of learning materials.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions.
  • Cover for teachers during absence as required.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of primary education curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
Contract Details: This position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, providing the opportunity for a long-term commitment.
