Job Description

Finance Manager, Wetherby, £40-45,000Are you an experience Finance Manager looking to bring your expertise and add value to a business.This is a hands-on role with supervision of a finance assistant. A new position which is part of a succession programme to ultimately take control of the Finance Team and have full accounting responsibility.Skills Required:

  • Previous experience of heading up a finance function is essential.
  • Experience of working in an SME, preferably within a service industry would be beneficial.
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE accounts and payroll
  • Strong Office skills - particularly Excel
  • Have a desire to work with the business both operationally and to shape the strategy and drive performance improvement.
  • Be open to joining in a management level role to support the succession plan for the present Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, monitor, and report on budgets, management and financial accounts.
  • All aspects of financial management control including monitoring and control of cash flow and banking, client invoicing and payments, supplier payments
  • Review, produce and manage finance related documents and activities, including MIS, bank and accountants’ updates, Tax and VAT requirements.
  • Management of Payroll
  • Preparation of Audit data and liaison with Auditors
  • Develop, drive, and implement new initiatives.
  • Minimise costs and overheads.
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive operational changes.
  • Analysis of project performance and provision of information required for project costings.
