Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking candidate to join a well-known and respected property business, where they will gain exposure to and learn from a very hands on and knowledgeable Finance Director.This is a newly created role that has arisen due to year-on-year growth and is an opportunity to join a company that prides themselves on their high levels of staff retention and offer a clear support and development path for the successful candidate.The role itself is very commercial in nature, allowing exposure to key stakeholders and the wider finance team daily.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, will be confident in liaising with people at all levels and will be able to challenge senior management in the appropriate way when needed.This role will suit someone who has had some exposure to business partnering and has supported other areas of a business with financial processes. Within the Commercial Finance Analyst role, there will be minimal exposure to the month end accounting processbut an understanding of this would be preferable in order to be able to provide reporting, analysis and input around improving processes and procedures.WHAT YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW

  • £25,000-£32,000
  • Monday-Friday, 8.00AM-17.00PM
  • Office working
  • You will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Easily accessible location

A SNAPSHOT OF THE COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST’s DAY
  • Presenting detailed financial information to relevant stakeholders
  • Assisting with some financial modelling
  • Providing support with acquisitions and project work
  • Continually improving methods and processes across reporting, analysis and commercial team support
  • Providing variance analysis on weekly performance

  • Be commercially minded and will enjoy providing insight and challenging systems and processes to improve revenues and profitability
  • Have extremely good communication skills, will be confident presenting themselves to senior management and will be able to challenge ideas when needed
  • Be able to develop and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Have excellent attention to detail and will pick up new skills quickly
  • have excellent Excel skills and will ideally be proficient with V-Lookups and Pivots
