Job Description

WEDDINGS & EVENTS COORDINATOR - WESTON SUPER MARE£20,000 - £21,000 per annum depending on experienceWe love recruiting for this company and are delighted to have been asked to recruit for this position, for an intersting venue with a varied and exciting events and weddings.We need a real people person, someone who has exceptional customer service skills and is a strong organiser.Some experience in helping to organise events and weddings would be useful, although not essential.You will be assisting in the organsiation and delivery of events which include large and small parties, weddings, corporate meetings, large events and functionsROLE - WEDDINGS & EVENTS COORDINATORAs the Wedding & Events Coordinator you will:

  • Respond to wedding and events enquiries, face to face, by email and phone
  • Helping to organise weddings and events
  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of weddings and events
  • Researching & obtaining quotes & purchasing event equipment
  • Production & follow up of detailed & accurate event instructions
  • Ensuring the relevant employees are informed of the requirements of each event
  • Meet & welcome all groups on arrival
ATTRIBUTES - WEDDINGS & EVENTS COORDINATORThe successful candidate should be a customer focused and ideally have:
  • Experience working within the hospitality & events sector, in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Genuine enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail, an appreciation of quality the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • An excellent communicator
  • Ability to work on their own initiative coupled with a positive, can-do attitude & a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the needs of the business
  • Understands health & safety legislation & ensures it is effectively applied
  • Good IT systems knowledge & skills, including MS office programs/data bases, web knowledge
