Job Description

DB Charles Recruitment are working on a brilliant new fixed term contract opportunity with an exciting business based in Weston Super Mare for a maternity cover Software Tester position.The business have enjoyed success within the software and mobile application development sector they specialise in, helping their clients in creating, designing and updating bespoke business systems & applications.The day to day duties for the role will involve:

  • Working from analysis to implementation to identify test cases / errors and ensuring the development team are able to rectify them
  • Testing new functionality of existing and future new products
  • Creating and writing test plans
  • Test application documentation
  • Carrying out testing and result recording
  • Producing product & user guides
  • Aiding in new client on-boarding process
  • Internal meetings and liaising with other internal departments
  • Reports
  • General administration
    • For this role, the client is seeking CVs with aspects of the following skill sets:
  • A previous career background working as a Software Tester
  • Degree focused towards IT or a relevant subject supporting the role preferable however not essential
  • Experienced in application testing / browser based testing / UAT / Systems Testing
  • Experienced with GitHub
  • Previous exposure to Jira / Zephyr
  • Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to commit to a permanent role based in Weston Super Mare
    • The role will be covering a 6 month period of maternity cover, Monday to Friday with a x40 hour working week.
