Job Description

Do you have a background in engineering, great technical knowledge, and are looking for a new opportunity based on the outskirts of Weston-Super-Mare Red is recruiting an Electrical Technician to join a leading provider of high technology products and servicesjust outside of Weston-Super-Mare. If youre passionate about engineering and would like to be a part of assembling high-tech products, wed like to speak with you!Responsibilities of an Electrical Technician:

  • Ensure that the requirements of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and the customer specification are achieved
  • Identify and resolve build problems
  • Report technical issues and record using the FRACAS process
  • Maintain your technical ability and train and guide less experienced technicians
  • Act as a point of reference to ensure technicians within the build area are fully aware of the build sequence
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
Skills and experience of an Electrical Technician:
  • Previous experience in an Electrical apprenticeship, or City and Guilds part 3, or HND, HNC, or BTech level 3 is required
  • Precision level detail fitting skills
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Ability to fault find and implement corrective action
  • Relevant electrical qualifications would be ideal
  • Previous mechanical, electrical and electronic assembly skills are desirable
  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry would be beneficial
Benefits of an Electrical Technician:
  • Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum + shift allowance
  • Hours: Rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday (Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am to 12pm OR Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm and Friday 12pm - 5pm)
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Half days on Fridays!
  • A short commute from Weston-Super-Mare
